Selena Y Los Dino was a very demanding band for Selena and her siblings. In the end, they did not get much of an opportunity to grow up. Abraham senior was a member of Los Dinos, the band that started it all. Selena Y Los Dinos officially was formed in 1981. The family business was called Selena Y Los Dinos which was the primary source of income for the family. Quintanillas persevered in spite of the initial financial difficulties to become a popular band. Selena Y Los Dinos became famous in states of the west in the late 80s. Selena's first breakthrough came in 1986 when she received awards as Female Vocalist of the Year and as a Performer of the Year at the Tejano music awards. Selena Y Los Dinos continued to receive awards of Tejano music awards, as well as gaining notoriety and fame.
